Responsibilities*
- Implement quantum many-body codes within the Zgid lab environment.
- Make strategic design decisions for the GREEN open-source software.
- Act as a liaison between many-body theory groups in physics and chemistry.
- Develop, design, and execute the comprehensive GREEN research package in accordance with NSF-funded project objectives.
- Formulate and improve research methods, identify potential issues, and recommend and implement solutions.
- Train users on complex computer codes, and effectively explain and demonstrate the package to both internal and external parties.
- Consult with users to refine or adapt methodologies for specific experiments and simulations, contributing to the development of new techniques.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Green software development.
- Supervise undergraduate workers, providing guidance and support.
- Collaborate in co-authoring and co-presenting research publications and presentations.
- Monitor budget as it relates to the GREEN research package
Required Qualifications*
Master's degree and 5 to 6 years related experience. Proficiency with many-body theory and quantum chemistry required. Supervisory and financial management experience are required at the senior level.
Desired Qualifications*
Specific professional/Doctorate degree preferred.
