Job Summary

The Department of Otolaryngology is looking to hire 2-3 student temps as Research Assistants for an industry sponsored hearing aid study. The term of this position is approximately 6-9 months depending on the study needs.

This is a part time position (approximately 20 hours/week). Work hours can be daytime or evenings and are remote. Supervision is received from a NeCTO Senior Clinical Research Coordinator.

Responsibilities*

  • Phone calls to patients
  • Scheduling patient visits
  • Device shipping and tracking

Required Qualifications*

  • High School Graduate
  • Thorough knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft applications
  • Ability to prioritize, pay close attention to detail, follow-through with tasks, and work as part of a team with medical professionals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with and maintain data in a confidential manner

Desired Qualifications*

  • College student working towards a Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of RedCap

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
