Summary

Information and Technology Services (ITS) is looking for a Business Systems Analyst Senior to join the Enterprise Applications Services (EAS) Salesforce Center of Excellence (SFCOE) team within ITS. The position will have strong customer service skills to design, implement and optimize CRM solutions that enhance user experience and drive business efficiency.

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.

This position is a two-year term limited position.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with campus stakeholders to gather and translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements that align with enterprise Salesforce architecture and university strategy.
  • Design, configure, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions using Flows, validation rules, permission sets, and data model best practices to improve automation, usability, and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with developers and integration teams to support data workflows, API connections, and third-party integrations that extend Salesforce capabilities across the enterprise.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), including test planning, user coordination, and validation of delivered functionality against requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between business units, technical teams, and leadership to ensure alignment, transparency, and adherence to Salesforce Center of Excellence (SFCOE) governance standards.
  • Maintain documentation of requirements, configurations, and workflows while supporting user enablement and training on Salesforce best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, business computing or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience applying appropriate technical tools to perform daily administration tasks, root-cause analysis and service restoration.
  • Experience with the Salesforce platform, including data modeling and data automation

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst with direct experience in Salesforce CRM implementation, support, and enhancement.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification or Business Analyst Certification
  • Experience working as part of a high-functioning team to meet customer expectations.
  • Project Management expertise
  • Strong experience with Form Assembly or certification
  • Strong understanding of U-M business processes preferred.
