| Position Summary | A post-doctoral position is available in the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering Department, based at UNC Chapel Hill. This research position will lead research in advanced ultrasound imaging technologies. Potential projects include super-resolution imaging, functional neurological imaging, molecular imaging, and super-harmonic imaging. Candidates will lead projects, conduct research, mentor junior team members, and write manuscripts, present at conferences, and contribute to grant proposals. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, computer science, or other related field is required. |
| Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Specific areas of knowledge which will be useful will include biomedical acoustics, physical acoustics, beamforming, ultrasound imaging, fabrication techniques, MATLAB, and/or preclinical studies. The ability to work as part of a team, to manage multiple projects, and to learn new skills quickly are all important to being successful in this position. Good communication skills and hands-on skills are essential. |
| Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Expertise in Verasonics programming would be a bonus, but is not required |
