Housed within the Department of Medicine Center for Research on Health Care, the Caring for Complex Chronic Conditions Research Center (C4)
brings together experts from a range of disciplines to improve health and healthcare for adults with chronic health conditions. Our work addresses
care for diabetes, heart disease, and other similar and multiple chronic conditions, through innovations in healthcare delivery, self-management
support and technology. C4 is hiring an experienced Research Coordinator to work across multiple trials. The current trials are NIDDK, NIA, and
CDC funded and focus on technology for diabetes self-management, video visits for diabetes specialty care, and hospitalists prescribing chronic
condition medications for inpatients at UPMC.
The Research Coordinator will assist with all day-to-day operations of multiple projects including conducting or supporting data collection, attending
to regulatory matters, reporting to co-investigators and funders, and administrative tasks to support the C4 Center more generally.
Job Summary
Conducts research assessments on study participants. Assists with and adheres to Institutional Review Board (IRB) renewal, modification, and approved protocols. Assists with training staff. Ensures adherence to protocols and corrects issues with data collection.
Requires the ability to visualize a computer screen, to work with computer hardware and software, to communicate verbally and in writing, and to use a phone. The candidate must have strong working knowledge of English.
Position is mostly sedentary work.
