Ensures adherence to protocols and corrects issues with data collection. Although an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred, it is not required. Similarly, although research experience is welcome, it is not required
This person will assist with the research of Dr. Kevin Contrera and Jose Zevallos, Head and Neck Cancer Surgeons at the University of Pittsburgh, UPMC, and the Hillman Cancer Center. This job will include both patient-facing and laboratory responsibilities surrounding high-impact research to improve head and neck cancer care. On the clinical research side, this includes patient screening, consenting, and sample collection in predominantly the outpatient, but also inpatient, environments. On the laboratory research side, this includes processing of samples, performing analyses, and maintaining databases. This individual will work with a robust team of researchers on multiple levels with a long track record for productive contributions to the field.

Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
