Lead Research Program Coordinator

The Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a Lead Research Program Coordinator II for the SPARC Trial, which is a prospective, randomized controlled trial that will prospectively enroll patients resuscitated from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest who are treated in emergency departments across the UPMC Health System.
Candidate responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Organizes and coordinates complex logistics and scheduling across multiple studies to ensure protocols are completed properly
Executes protocol-related research procedures, including outreach and education. Collects structured data elements independently
Complies with federal, state, and sponsor policies, as well as Institutional policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines
Coordinates activities administered by the research program in the development and implementation of procedures for the program/service area
Analyzes and recommends improvements to policy and procedure
Job Summary
Coordinates high-level, protocol-related research procedures and study components and manages one study or assists with larger studies. Ensures the safety of the research and laboratory. Manages staff, audits studies, and recommends policy improvements.
Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, One Drive and Teams.
Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time and lift or carry 20 pounds.
