Job Summary
Performs a variety of independent and complex laboratory work and experiments. Analyzes and interprets data, compiles results, and prepares reports. Maintains inventory, ordering, and logs. Writes manuscripts and grant proposals and prepares data visualizations.
1) Assuring laboratory safety and compliance with all policies and regulations; 2) Maintaining a functional, orderly lab, assuring that the lab is timely supplied with all reagents and supplies necessary for conducting planned experiments, preparing laboratory reagents; 3) Maintaining research animals colony, breeding animals according to an experimental plan and performing basic procedure on research animals; genotyping; 4) Assisting with experimental animals' tissue collection, for histological and molecular analyses; 5) Basic histological tissue processing (including paraffin and OCT embedding, sectioning), and staining according to standard protocols; 6) Assisting with basic cell culture work, molecular and biochemical assays.
Moderate physical effort required. May be required to stand/move for several hours at a time. May be required to move objects up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance of equipment.
