Data Analyst (Financial) III

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our team and play a critical role in transforming complex financial data into actionable insights for our users. This position will leverage analytics tools and platforms to analyze large datasets, develop comprehensive reporting solutions, and drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities -
- Work primarily with complex financial data related to technology purchasing, contracts, and operations
- Analyze complex datasets using SQL, Tableau, Alteryx & Snowflake to extract meaningful insights & identify trends
- Design, develop & maintain interactive dashboards & reports in Tableau that enable stakeholders to monitor key performance indicators & make data-driven decisions
- Write efficient, optimized SQL queries to extract, transform & analyze data from multiple sources
- Build automated data workflows using Alteryx to streamline reporting processes & improve data quality
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand their analytical needs & translate them to technical requirements & solutions
Qualifications -
- 3+ years of professional experience in data analysis or related role
- Experience with financial data (e.g., ledger transactions, purchase orders)
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, joins, subqueries, window functions & query optimization
- Strong experience with Tableau for dashboard & report development, including calculated fields, parameters & advanced visualizations
- Working knowledge of Python, R, or similar programming languages for data manipulation & analysis
- Strong knowledge of data manipulation, cleaning & wrangling techniques

Job Summary
Evaluates business requirements and performs advanced data integration and analysis. Develops advanced analytical and reporting tools utilizing multiple sources of integrated data. Provides technical support.
Must have the ability to work with PC equipment and related hardware/software and telephony video-conferencing systems. Must have good written and verbal communication skills, as well as, analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
Generally sedentary desk work with computer-keyboardvideo phone other than traveling to other buildings on campus for meetings/events on occasion. Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
