This position is for the Division of General Academic Pediatrics (GAP) within the Department of Pediatrics. The Research Project Manager will oversee the day‑to‑day coordination, compliance, and execution of a multi‑year, PCORI‑funded clinical effectiveness research project evaluating treatments for sinus and ear infections in children. This role ensures that all project activities, milestones, reporting requirements, and regulatory obligations are completed on time and in accordance with PCORI policies, federal regulations, and institutional standards. Equivalent relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement. PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required prior to the start of employment. Job Summary
Manages all aspects of one or more projects for a research program and oversees all aspects of the project lifecycle. Provides leadership, technical direction, coordination, and expertise across projects. Analyzes progress and/or performance and prepares reports. Ensures compliance with budget, scope, timeline, and regulations. Assists with external communications.
• Manages all aspects of one or more projects for a research program, including the planning, design, and implementation.
• Oversees all aspects of the project lifecycle (e.g., planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery).
• Assures project management tasks are completed on time, in scope, and in adherence to all applicable regulations.
• Coordinates the work activities for and across multiple functions; ensures positive delivery of project.
• Provides leadership, technical direction, and expertise across projects.
• Tracks and prepares analyses of progress and/or associated performance indicators against milestones, including budgetary adherence to guidelines. Facilitates reporting of data for better understanding and improvement of outcomes. Prepares reports for senior management.
• Assists with the selection, negotiation, and management of all activities regarding external consultants and/or vendors.
• Maintains applicable government and regulatory body communication.
