IT Business Analyst/Project Manager

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Business Analyst/Project Manager with a problem-solving mindset to support Health Sciences Information Technology initiatives within a higher education environment. The incumbent will lead process optimization efforts, conduct needs assessments, and ensure projects align with the needs of faculty, clinical educators and administrative staff.
The incumbent should be skilled in facilitating meetings, workshops, and stakeholder interviews across health sciences and IT teams, with the ability to align recommendations with institutional priorities such as accreditation requirements and education objectives.
A strong command of project management methodologies is essential, along with experience using project management tools. Familiarity with educational software and technologies used in higher education is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. The successful candidate will work effectively across cross-functional teams, listen actively to understand pain points, and build trust with both technical staff and stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet user and institutional expectations.
Job Summary
Works with business groups to solve more complex problems using technology. Analyzes advanced business needs and evaluates complex business processes to recommend process enhancements. Assists in helping junior and more senior business analysts with complex projects.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather business requirements and create shareable documentation.
- Perform needs assessment to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
- Document clear and actionable user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria
- Analyze existing business processes and recommend optimization strategies
- Create technical documentation to capture user needs
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support change management and training efforts related to new processes or systems
- Monitor project outcomes to ensure alignment with business goals and user expectations
Light, Little physical effort. Duties are primarily Sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
