Clinical Applications Analyst

The SVC Health Sciences IT Department is seeking a dedicated Clinical Application Analyst to join our dynamic team supporting the schools of health sciences. This position plays a critical role in the functional ownership, configuration, maintenance, and ongoing support of clinical applications, including Electronic Health Records (EHR) and related clinical tools integral to patient care and teaching workflows.

Job Summary
Designs, develops, codes, tests, debugs, implements, and maintains moderately complex application software and/or systems. Prepares detailed specifications and recommendations for software, programs, and test procedures.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for EHR systems and associated tools, facilitating seamless patient care and teaching processes.
• Participate in all phases of the software lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, build/configuration, testing, deployment, and optimization. • Collaborate closely with clinical, administrative, and IT stakeholders to translate workflow needs into effective system builds and enhancements. • Support and coordinate application testing, end-user training, and the development of thorough documentation to enable effective adoption and utilization. • Create and maintain documentation of workflows, business requirements, and system configurations. • Coordinate and execute testing (unit, integration, UAT) for upgrades and new modules. • Act as a key resource on clinical IT projects, working collaboratively with IT teams, clinical leadership, and external vendors. • Help resolve EHR tickets, serve as escalation point for second-level support, and communicate updates to stakeholders. • Ensure HIPAA compliance across EHR systems. • Manage role-based access and permissions. • Support data audits and contribute to quality assurance and compliance reviews.
Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Light, Little physical effort. Duties are primarily Sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
