The Department of Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a research technician with a bachelor's degree in neuroscience or a related field for a full-time position in the Morrison lab. The focus of the lab is on neural circuitry underlying reward processing and decision-making in behaving rats. Techniques used include pharmacology, single-neuron recording, optogenetics, and chemogenetics. Responsibilities will include all aspects of experimental work in the lab, including animal handling/training, surgery, experimental manipulations, and data analysis, as well as routine lab maintenance and animal care tasks.

Incumbent must be able to ambulate across building complex and University campus; Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time; Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
