$20.31 - $27.42

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Cytology Supervisors, the Lab Clinical Support Tech III exercises advanced knowledge, judgment and problem-solving skills. Serves as primary resource for general administrative functions regarding specimens, reports, ancillary studies, clerical functions, and patient scheduling.

Job Responsibilities:

- Manages all incoming telephone calls and faxes. Addresses questions and issues, or triages them appropriately.

- Triages special procedure requests, documenting patient history, location of procedure and requesting physician. Alerts appropriate cytotechnologist and pathologist.

- Identifies and resolves problems with specimens and patient demographics.

- Handles additional testing requests.

- Assists with slide filing and retrieval.

Qualifications:

- Associate's degree or some college level course work in science or a related discipline and one year of experience; or an equivalent combination of education, experience or certification.

- Excellent typing, telephone, and customer relation's skills. Customer service experience preferred.

- Familiarity and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
