$20.31 - $27.42The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Assistant Supervisor and Supervisor provides support for the laboratory section. The Lab Support Tech III performs Bone Marrow procedure scheduling, answering phone calls, accessioning of specimens, preparation of reagents, filing of documents, reagent and supplies inventory and ordering, daily lab maintenance. Must adhere to all laboratory policies
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specimen accessioning and processing
Assistance at the patient bedside and/or clinical contact with patients.
Phone Management
Supplies Management
Lab maintenance
Assist with filing documents
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's degree in science or a related discipline with 1-2 years of clinical laboratory or medical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Secretarial and lab support skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, as well as SoftLab, SoftPath, and e-Record. Regularly discuss patient information with physicians and other medical professionals. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy/physiology a plus.
Core organizational and customer service skills are essential. Must pay attention to details and consistently follow-up. Must be aware of HIPAA rules, regulations, and follow guidelines consistently. Must be able to assist with patient procedures required.
