$17.43 - $24.40The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Responsibilities:
The Department of Computer Science is seeking an ASL Consultant to provide expert guidance for ASL annotations in parent-child interaction video datasets. This role focuses on advising the research team on developing ASL annotation following standards and validating annotation quality at key stagesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Guide, review, and validate ASL annotations to ensure linguistic and research validity.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- PhD (or equivalent professional expertise) required
- High-level ASL proficiency, expertise in ASL signing and ASL gloss conventions, extended research experience in ASL-related education technologies required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Native ASL signer required
- PhD or equivalent expertise in ASL, neuroscience, linguistics, Deaf studies, or related fields is preferred.
