Job Summary | The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) is inviting applicants for a post-doctoral fellow position in the Speech Neuroscience Lab. Our research is focused on studying the sensorimotor mechanisms of speech and their impairments in adult neurogenic populations. Excellent facilities for EEG, fMRI, and behavioral testing are available. The Research Associate will plan, conduct, and direct a wide variety of experiments and simulations using advanced equipment and applying complex techniques, methods, and procedures. The post-doctoral fellow will be responsible for the evaluation and interpretation of research data, for planning and executing the details of experiments according to research protocol. The fellow will have an exciting opportunity to pursue collaborative projects across multi-disciplinary programs at the UTD. This position is in the department of Speech, Language and Hearing in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences at UTD (bbs.utdallas.edu). UTD is the fastest growing University in Texas, is ranked number 3 in the nation among universities less than 50 years old and houses a vibrant research community. Candidates with a PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech and Hearing Science and other related fields (e.g., Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Engineering and Psychology) are welcome to apply. The salary for Post-Doctoral Research Associates in BBS is determined by years of experience per the current NIH (NRSA) stipend levels. Salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications. This position is funded for a 1 year with the possibility of renewal, dependent on performance and continued funding availability. |
