Job Summary | This position will function as a Research Financial Analyst and will be responsible for providing financial management and overseeing compliance for research and sponsored programs in the Bioengineering Department. This position will support activities on all sponsored project awards and will assist Principal Investigator’s (PI’s) and administrative staff on award budget and expenditure allowability and fund stewardship, oversee grant sub-award monitoring processes and provide direction and assistance as needed, while working collaboratively with the Office of Research and Innovation (ORI). This position will be responsible for reporting, budget modifications and forecasting, and financial analysis while adhering to, all University, sponsor, federal, and state-imposed rules, regulations, policies and procedures related to administering sponsored agreements. This position will routinely communicate and coordinate with the campus community, provide innovative solutions, and guide Bioengineering research faculty through decisions of resource allocation amid an increasingly complex regulatory environment. Minimum Education and Experience | Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other Business area. Two years of experience in Accounting, Budget or other Financial area or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Business acumen, leadership capabilities, ability to think strategically and analytically. Experience in providing innovation and problem solving; excellent oral communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Requires extreme accuracy in all phases of work. |

Other Qualifications | To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position. |

Additional Information | After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. May be required to use personal computer and other standard office equipment. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
