The Rehabilitation and Mobility Technician works collaboratively with licensed nursing staff and rehabilitation professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to provide essential patient care support in an inpatient acute care setting. This role functions under the direct supervision of licensed medical personnel and plays a key part in promoting patient mobility and recovery.
  • Assist patients with mobility activities and therapeutic exercises as directed by licensed clinicians.
  • Support rehabilitation sessions and patient care procedures by preparing equipment and ensuring a safe environment.
  • Manage and maintain rehabilitation and mobility equipment, ensuring availability and cleanliness.
  • Promote the importance of early and ongoing mobility to patients and families in alignment with clinical care plans.
  • Provide hands-on assistance during therapy sessions and mobility activities, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provides for a safe environment and safe delivery of care.
  • Actively participates in professional growth activities and maintains necessary skills and competencies.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent
Experience: No experience required. Relevant experience preferred.
Licensure: American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires frequently bending/stooping/traveling. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

Position Compensation Range: $15.00 - $19.93 Hourly
