The University of Washington’s College of Education seeks a Research Scientist who can engage in design-based research projects from learning sciences and science education perspectives. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position involves engaging in a range of partnerships with education and community organizations focused on promoting equity in science education and climate change education—by participating in curriculum development efforts, running professional learning sessions for educators, and engaging in empirical research on learning and systems-level improvement. In support of this effort, the Research Scientist duties will include, but not be limited to, the following: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Bring intellectual resources to bear on equity-focused science education improvement projects. Contribute to the development, use, refinement, and dissemination of resources for equitable science education. Document and communicate developments in projects. Structure: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
