As a Network Operations Engineer at UW-IT, you’ll play a critical role in building and maintaining one of the largest and most advanced networks in higher education—supporting 85,000+ students, faculty, and staff, UW Medicine’s hospitals and clinics, and global research operations. What You’ll Do: Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.) Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues in a 24/7 environment Optimize performance and implement technologies like OSPF, BGP, IPv6, QoS, SNMP Document systems and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams Collaborate with security, systems, and support teams across the University Support cutting-edge projects in education, healthcare, and global research What You Bring: Required Desired: Why UW-IT?
