UW MEDICINE IT SERVICES has an outstanding job opportunity for an EPIC RESEARCH APPLICATIONS ANALYST 2.


WORK SCHEDULE
  • 100% FTE – 40 hours per week
  • Day Shift – UW MEDICINE ITS SERVICES CORE HOURS ARE 08:00 – 17:00 (PST), Monday-Friday


  • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    UW Medicine IT Services (ITS) is a shared services organization that supports all of UW Medicine. UW Medicine is comprised of Harborview Medical Center (HMC), UW Medical Center-Montlake Campus (UWMC-Montlake), UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus (UWMC-NW), Valley Medical Center (VMC), UW Medicine Primary Care (UWMPC), UW Physicians (UWP), UW School of Medicine (SOM), and Airlift Northwest (ALNW). ITS is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support all these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the UW Medicine mission.

  • PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Interacting with customers and performing detailed, intermediate to advanced level requirements analysis
  • Analyzing intermediate to advanced level work process flows and technical solutions to bridge the gap between current and future states
  • Designing, building, testing, and implementing intermediate to advanced level enhancements to meet requirements
  • Collaborating and coordinating with other application teams (clinical and non-clinical) on research related builds
  • Supporting intermediate to advanced level research needs and cross-over with Clinical Trial Management System
  • Building, developing, and supporting intermediate to advanced level interfaces/bridges/billing
  • Providing intermediate to advanced level production support and ongoing system troubleshooting, maintenance, monitoring, and training
  • Participating in intermediate to advanced level projects, processes, and documentation to support customer needs


  • REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent education and/or experience
  • Currently holds one current Epic certification (or equivalent with other EHR systems) OR has had Epic proficiency (or equivalent with other EHR systems) for 2+ years in relevant functional/business area
  • Currently holds or is willing to complete necessary certifications (determined at time of hire) within first 6 months of employment. Certifications may include, but are not limited to Core Clinical, Research (clinical or billing) Beacon, Hospital Billing/Professional Billing, Clinical Applications, and Healthy Planet
  • 2+ year(s) of recent healthcare or IT experience, including:
  • 1+ year(s) of experience providing EHR systems application maintenance/support
  • 1+ year(s) of experience with application/system configuration and implementation of clinical information systems (and/or healthcare applications)
  • Demonstrated experience with EHR systems application maintenance/support
  • Demonstrated experience with application/system configuration and implementation of clinical information systems (and/or healthcare applications)
  • Demonstrated experience with clinical research - particularly utilizing Epic and/or OnCore CTMS
