We seek a motivated, detail-oriented, and organized individual to study normal and impaired hearing in animal models within the lab of Dr. Karolina Charaziak (https://sites.usc.edu/charaziaklab/) at the Keck School of Medicine. The research project will involve the use of in vivo electrophysiology, acoustical measurements, and optical imaging techniques (Optical Coherence Tomography) to assess hearing function in small rodents. Dr. Charaziak’s lab is a part of multidisciplinary auditory research group within the Keck School of Medicine.

The annual base salary range for this position is $70,000.08 - $70,000.08. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.

Start date: Flexible.

Candidates must have a PhD or an equivalent experience in bio/audio engineering, neuroscience, or a related area.

Key requirements are experience with electrophysiological recordings, signal processing, and data analyses.

Experience with programming in MATLAB or Python is preferred, but not required.

Experience with animal research is highly valued, but not necessary.
