The Space Engineering Research Center (SERC) at ISI is looking for a Programmer Analyst I.
The type of work required is electrical and electronic board design, and RF integration and test for various prototype projects related to Space applications. This includes design of custom PCB boards based on a wide range of requirements in an experimental lab with multiple iterations, integration and operation of various electrical and electronic modules, integration with electro-mechanical ground prototypes of various sizes and required operating conditions. Knowledge of both the space operations environment and basic RF communications for space is required to translate the designs from ground prototype to space capable systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICTIONS:
- Experience with a range of electrical and electronic prototyping
- High degree of flexibility
- Skill sets of prototype development of electronic/electrical systems focused on a variety of robotics, sensors, simulated contact dynamic facilities and platforms and Small satellite experience
- Knowledge of the space operations environment
The hourly rate range for this position is $35.10 - $40.00. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, Combined work experience and education as equivalentMinimum Experience: 0 - 6 months
Minimum Field of Expertise: General knowledge of programming and documentation procedures and programming methods and operator instructions. Knowledge of one or more appropriate computer languages.
