Get to Know the Opportunity
The Client Reporting Analyst is a versatile role responsible for delivering accurate and timely investment reports for institutional clients. The position emphasizes business analysis, including gathering and validating reporting requirements, analyzing data, ensuring quality control, and resolving client inquiries. While the role involves working with reporting design tools and contributing to automation efforts, it is primarily focused on analysis and problem-solving rather than software development.
This role requires strong collaboration across client service, operations, data, and technology teams, and is ideal for a well-rounded professional with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and a keen analytical mindset. Reporting to the Head of Client Reporting, the analyst will also support process evaluation, data quality analysis, and development-related initiatives, and will play a key role in ensuring consistent, high-quality output across asset classes such as Equity, Fixed Income, Leveraged Credit, and Commercial Mortgage Loans.
*This is a hybrid position with an in-office requirement of 2 to 3 days a week.*
The Contributions You Will Make
- Act as a primary liaison between client service, operations, and technology to gather requirements and deliver timely, accurate reports.
- Analyze data across multiple systems to investigate and resolve complex client and internal inquiries.
- Support creation, maintenance, and automation of reports using business intelligence and reporting tools (e.g., SimCorp Coric, Power BI, WebFOCUS, Excel, PowerPoint, SQL)
- Perform rigorous quality control reviews of client reports and data deliverables to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Maintain and enhance documentation, templates, and processes to support scalable, repeatable reporting solutions.
- Collaborate with developers to translate business needs into technical specifications for reporting enhancements.
- Partner with client service and product teams to support presentations, ad hoc requests, and strategic reporting initiatives.
- Contribute to project management efforts by tracking deliverables, raising risks, and communicating progress to stakeholders.
Minimum Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in reporting or data analysis, ideally within financial services
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL preferred.
- Familiarity with client reporting systems and relational databases
- Experience designing data-driven reports using variables and front-end logic.
- Solid understanding of investment reporting concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working with large data sets, security-level investment data, and complex calculation logic
- Prior experience in the asset management industry preferred but not required.
- Experience with data-driven reporting platforms such as SimCorp Coric is a plus.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:
Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
