What you'll do...

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Data Scientist to join the Walmart Care Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, machine learning, and AI, with a proven track record of leveraging advanced analytical techniques to drive business results. This role is critical in transforming data into actionable insights, developing predictive models, and enhancing decision-making processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Analytical Techniques: Utilize advanced analytical techniques, including machine learning and AI, to predict trends and behavior patterns, deliver impactful data insights that drive business results.
  • Model Development: Lead the development and implementation of AI and machine learning models to solve complex business problems, improve operational efficiency, and enhance decision-making processes.
  • Emerging Technologies: Leverage emerging technologies to optimize data analytics processes, improve data reliability, and enhance the precision of predictive models (such as customer contact volume forecasting) , directly affecting business outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate advanced analytical techniques into everyday operations, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement that directly impacts business results.
  • Innovation and Advancement: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of data science innovation, and leveraging these advancements for business success.
  • Strategic Decision-Making: Play a key role in strategic business decisions by providing data-led insights, contributing to the company's overall direction and growth.
  • Impact Measurement: Develop and implement mechanisms for measuring the impact and effectiveness of data science initiatives on business operations and outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field with specialization in AI or machine learning.
  • Experience: Proven experience in leveraging advanced analytical techniques in a data science role.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in modern AI tools and platforms, with a strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling.
    • Experience in driving a data-driven culture within an organization, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies.
    • Demonstrated ability to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and data science.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Option 1- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field. Option 2- Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 years' experience in an analytics related field. Option 3 - 5 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
