Position: Staff Technical Program Manager

Job Location: 1375 Crossman Avenue, Sunnyvale CA 94089

Duties: Own and drive several complex programs. Form a portfolio of efforts that are geared towards achieving business goals of different market segments. Translate product roadmaps into integrated high-level plans that are aligned with business goals. Translate roadmaps for underlying cross-functional engineering teams. Represent the overarching portfolio with all stakeholders. Provide inputs and insights into each component and work stream. Provide communications to enable fast and effective escalations and decision making that allow the organization to react and adjust to changes. Facilitate the effective flow of new asks from the business. Apply prioritization and change management principles effectively, with minimal disruption to roadmaps. Ensure planning through deep discovery, scope, and feature set of programs. Understand and articulate detailed requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing schedules, identifying risks, and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. Proactively and effectively communicate program statuses, identify potential risks and setbacks, and develop mitigation strategies. Develop best practices in a changing and dynamic environment to ensure on time delivery. Ensure program documents are complete, current, and available for staff and leadership review. This position does not supervise employees.

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field and 5 years of post-bachelor’s progressively responsible experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area; OR Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field and 3 years of post-bachelor’s progressively responsible experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.

Skills required: Experience with requirements elicitation, gap analysis, use case diagramming, mind-mapping, process flow diagramming, and data driven business modeling techniques. Experience with SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Services) design frameworks and implementations. Experience with planning technical program strategy, defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), conflict management, and resource planning. Experience planning and executing complex, large scale, Cloud based software and infrastructure programs. Experience with Technical Program Management, including defining goals, stage gates, critical delivery paths, and key deliverables for large-scale programs that incorporate multiple programs with dependencies across multiple areas of work, timelines, and resource constraints. Experience defining and reviewing technical program roadmaps and technical program implementation progress. Experience with Cloud migrations, multitenancy architecture frameworks, and cloud based and cloud native application design principles. Experience with Agile/Scrum based program execution and organization wide change management. Experience proposing frameworks, tools, and methodologies that can be adopted to drive automation across initiatives. Experience with consensus building, risk identification, planning, and mitigation, and change management planning for cloud-based applications. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $179,421/year to $286,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
