We pride ourselves on working in a collaborative environment, and to do so we are in our Dallas, TX office 5 days a week.
What You’ll Do
  • Lead front-end architecture for high-performance, scalable web and cross-platform experiences—setting standards for component design, state management, routing, and code quality across Angular or React ecosystems.
  • Design and build rich, responsive UIs using Angular or React; extend experiences to React Native where appropriate.
  • Own video-first experiences end-to-end: integrate players (e.g., HLS/DASH), subtitles/captions, ad insertion, analytics beacons, error-recovery flows, and DRM considerations in collaboration with platform partners.
  • Drive Core Web Vitals and rendering performance: profiling, reducing bundle size (code-splitting, tree-shaking), optimizing data-fetching, and enforcing performance budgets.
  • Establish and evolve design systems and internal UI libraries for reusability, accessibility , and consistency across consoles and apps.
  • Define API contracts with backend teams; influence domain models, pagination, error semantics, and schema evolution to ensure UI scalability and reliability.
  • When needed, contribute to backend APIs (Node.js/.NET/Python), including REST/GraphQL endpoints, caching (Redis), and integration with upstream catalog or media services.
  • Champion observability across the stack—RUM, frontend logging, traces, and dashboards that connect client signals with API performance.
  • Lead technical design reviews, threat modeling for UI security (XSS, CSRF, CSP), and cross-team architectural reviews.
  • Raise the engineering bar through mentoring, pairing, and coaching; guide junior engineers and influence cross-functional teams (product, design, platform).
  • Partner with product and design to translate complex user workflows into intuitive experiences; validate solutions via prototypes, experiments (A/B), and data.
  • Improve delivery velocity and quality via test automation (unit, integration, E2E with Jest/RTL/Cypress/Playwright), static analysis, and CI/CD for web and mobile pipelines.
  • Contribute to operational excellence—on-call participation, incident response, root-cause analysis, and hardening plans for client and API paths.
About You
  • 12+ years of professional software development with a strong emphasis on frontend engineering and a track record of delivering high-performance, large-scale UIs.
  • Expert in JavaScript/TypeScript and deep proficiency in Angular (modern versions) and React (hooks, Context, Suspense); practical experience delivering apps in React Native.
  • Strong frontend architecture skills: modular component design, micro-frontends or module federation (when appropriate), shared libraries, and scalable state management (NgRx/Akita or Redux/RTK/RxJS).
  • Proven ability to optimize runtime and load-time performance (CWV, hydration strategies, code-splitting, memorization, virtualization) and to debug complex issues across browser, network, and API layers.
  • Hands-on experience building video products: streaming tech (HLS/DASH), captions/subtitles, ad/analytics integrations, error handling for unreliable networks, and resilience patterns.
  • Comfortable with modern build and tooling (Webpack/Vite/esbuild, npm/Yarn/pnpm, linting/formatting, Storybook).
  • Strong testing discipline across unit, integration, and E2E (Jest, Testing Library); data-driven approach to quality and reliability.
  • Backend as a secondary strength: design/consume REST/GraphQL APIs; contribute to services in Node.js/.NET/Python; familiarity with SQL/NoSQL, caching (Redis), and async patterns.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), containers (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD, and observability practices that tie frontend metrics to backend health.
  • Excellent communicator and influence leader—able to align stakeholders, drive architectural decisions, and mentor engineers across levels.
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in CS or related field (or equivalent experience).
Bonus / Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with media/content delivery systems (VOD/TVOD/AVOD), catalog ingestion, metadata validation, and asset management.
  • Integrations with upload workflows, third‑party catalog providers, and transformation pipelines.
  • Building internal consoles/developer tools with granular permissions, approvals, and workflow engines.
  • CDN/edge optimization for media and static assets; familiarity with DRM ecosystems and platform constraints (web, mobile, TV).
  • Experimentation and analytics platforms; data instrumentation strategies that inform product decisions.
