What you'll do...

Position: Senior Manager II, Site Engineer – Supply Chain

Job Location: 702 SW 8th Street, Bentonville, AR 72716

Duties: Demonstrates knowledge of operational work processes within the Distribution Center (for example, loss profiles, process improvement mindsets, practical experience). Creates strategic leadership partnerships with the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Process Improvement Manager to drive end-to-end improvements in the Distribution Center. Manages workloads of Process & Quality Engineers to create an appropriate balance between network-driven projects and building specific improvements. Applies continuous improvement tools (for example, Root Cause Analysis, Time and Motion Studies, Statistical Process Control, Process Deviation, 5S, Six-Sigma) to eliminate losses while creating standards to sustain process improvements. Supports the Walmart Performance System in the building by engaging leaders and demonstrating program effectiveness through problem-solving skills and process improvement thinking. Supports the Daily Management System review and response process at various levels through root cause analysis and counter measure implementation. Collaborates in network "One Best Way" standard implementation and deviation process. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance; accordingly, developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events. Position may work at various unanticipated Walmart locations throughout the U.S.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Engineering or related field plus 2 years of experience in Continuous Improvement work or related experience; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Engineering or related field plus 4 years of experience in Continuous Improvement work or related experience.

Skills required: Must have experience with: Analyzing and optimizing shift-based workforce planning using SQL (MySQL) and Tableau with a focus on time-part segmentation and fatigue management; Developing and deploying OEE-driven dashboards embedded with DMAIC methodology using Minitab and Tableau to support real-time process improvements; Designing and modifying line layouts utilizing Lean Manufacturing best practices to eliminate material flow losses and increase throughput; Conducting root cause identification and elimination using problem-solving techniques such as Fishbone diagrams, Five Why (5W), and time-window logic; Creating predictive models for freight buffer management and space utilization to enable proactive inbound flow and labor resource decisions; Measuring, monitoring, and improving processes by eliminating special cause variations using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodologies; Developing people analytics dashboards in Tableau to evaluate team integration, tenure, and leadership effectiveness; Conducting loss analysis using OEE metrics to guide senior leadership on process and equipment optimizations; Assessing variation introduced by measurement systems using Gage R&R studies to ensure data reliability; Identifying and mitigating problems and failures through Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA); Controlling time-based process variation using SPC and SQL to support hourly-specific coaching and performance management. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $128,502 - $192,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives
