About the team:
The Dynamic Inventory team plays a crucial role in Walmart’s operations by forecasting product demand and optimizing placement across distribution nodes to ensure availability and minimize lost sales. This team develops advanced ETL and machine learning pipelines that support accurate demand estimation, targets, and inventory placement. Operating across multiple locations, including Sunnyvale and Bangalore, the team collaborates closely to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions. Members apply strong technical skills in platform design, API development, and continuous integration to enhance Walmart’s inventory management and contribute to the company’s overall efficiency and customer satisfaction.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with product, project, business, and user experience teams to define high-level designs during project discovery phases.
- Develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-quality code aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production and business issues through root cause analysis and coordinated action plans.
- Manage complex projects by translating requirements into technical solutions and ensuring timely delivery.
- Support users by providing technical guidance and identifying sustainable solutions.
- Mentor small engineering teams, providing documentation, direction, and oversight.
- Implement automation scripts and telemetry features to enhance development and monitoring processes.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and software design principles.
- Strong technical acumen with experience in API design, platform development, and component services.
- Proficiency in debugging, problem solving, and delivering scoped features through iterative development.
- Experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing methodologies.
- Ability to analyze requirements, perform root cause analysis, and develop sustainable technical solutions.
- Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing complex projects to ensure timely delivery.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies including generative artificial intelligence and telemetry implementation.
- Effective documentation and communication skills to support development and troubleshooting activities.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
