Position Summary...

The E2E SDET team is responsible for creating and maintaining a E2E Automation Development & Testing platform, methodologies, innovation that is specifically designed to meet the unique needs and scale of Walmart. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the success of this innovative testing team and ensuring their continuous improvement.

E2E SDET team supports different business pillars across Walmart. This position is part of Walmart International E2E SDET team and as part of this team you will be responsible to build a centralized, intelligent repository that enables discovery, governance, and operationalization of world-class Automation across the organization and enable critical business teams to leverage E2E platform for accurate and consistent outcomes for all the key business features with continuous build and deployment. What You’ll Do -

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you'll have the opportunity to

  • Lead engineering and product delivery : Manage and guide SDET’s to build and deploy solutions at scale, own the technical automation roadmap, and oversee end-to-end product delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders : Work closely with business stakeholders to execute multiple business plans and technologies, and foster cross-disciplinary teamwork for multi-channel shopping challenges.
  • Team development and leadership : Hire, develop, and retain strong engineering talent while promoting company values, ethics, and effective communication across global teams.
  • Required qualifications and skills : Candidates should have an engineering degree, over 15 years of experience including leadership of agile Scrum teams, strong Java, Selenium, TestNg, Appium, Rest Assured, Microservices, Database, Web, Mobile App expertise, production support experience, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Retail or e-commerce background is advantageous.
  • Manage and lead software engineers to successfully build and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting multi-billion-dollar business.
  • Help define Automation Technical Roadmap and own the entire product delivery end to end.
  • Work very closely with various business stakeholders to drive the execution of multiple business plans and technologies
  • Improve, optimize and identify opportunities for efficient software development processes
  • Hire, Develop and Retain a strong team of engineers.
  • Exhibit strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with product, engineering and management across different geographic locations
  • Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

What You’ll bring -

  • Bachelors or master's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience mentoring and leading teams with overall 15+ years' experience
  • Proven experience in building high-performance teams and scalable best practices in SaaS/Online/Enterprise Product engineering organization
  • Excellent logical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in Automation execution for Distributed, multi-threaded Systems for speeding up multi-tenant, customizable solutions which can be leveraged across Walmart's business verticals.
  • Must have experience in cloud-native distributed application patterns and tools, micro-services architectures and web application frameworks (React, Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, No SQL DBs), application migrations to any cloud platform.
  • Experience with CI/CD processes and design for high scale, availability, testability and extensibility. Excellent verbal and written communication. Technical Skills
