What you'll do...
Role summary:Join Walmart’s cybersecurity team as a Senior Intrusion Analyst, leveraging expertise in intrusion detection, incident response, and cyber risk management to safeguard organizational assets. About the team:
The Walmart Security Operations Center (SOC) is a centralized unit focused on monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity threats across Walmart’s global technology environment. The team utilizes advanced tools and frameworks to identify and mitigate risks, safeguarding critical assets. Members collaborate to enhance security protocols, analyze cyber incidents, and implement effective response strategies. The SOC emphasizes continuous improvement through data-driven insights and adherence to established procedures, supporting Walmart’s commitment to maintaining a secure and resilient technology infrastructure worldwide.
What you'll do:
- Lead detection, analysis, and response to cyber intrusions using advanced security operations center processes and tools.
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures for intrusion management and incident response.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance cyber incident mitigation and recovery strategies.
- Conduct cyber risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend effective risk treatment options.
- Utilize data analytics and visualization techniques to interpret security event data and generate actionable insights.
- Oversee containment and recovery efforts for security incidents, ensuring alignment with organizational policies.
- Drive continuous improvement of intrusion detection and prevention capabilities in a dynamic threat landscape.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive knowledge of intrusion detection, prevention, and cyber incident response protocols.
- Proven experience in cyber risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and security information and event management (SIEM).
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analytics tools and exploratory data analysis techniques.
- Ability to develop and implement standard operating procedures for intrusion and incident management.
- Expertise in coordinating with stakeholders to drive effective cyber incident containment and recovery.
- Familiarity with industry standards, compliance requirements, and evolving cybersecurity threats.
- Demonstrated capability to lead cyber risk management activities aligned with organizational policies.

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09050: The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00
Herndon, Virginia US-10710: The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00 - $216,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
