Role summary:The Senior Manager, Software Engineering, leads platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and roadmap milestones. This role oversees shared infrastructure, tooling, and frameworks to support scalable, secure development while driving full lifecycle management across multiple teams. About the team:
The Aspen Back-End team develops and maintains multiple back-end codebases supporting an internal analytics and configuration platform for Vizio’s Ad Tech Innovation group. This platform delivers configurable reports, queries, alerts, and audience segmentation while enabling various third-party integrations. The team focuses on scalable, reliable solutions that align with strategic priorities and roadmap milestones. Collaborating across functions, they drive continuous improvement through effective project and stakeholder management, leveraging expertise in cloud-native architecture, DevOps, and software product management to ensure high-quality delivery and operational excellence.
What you'll do:
- Lead platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems, ensuring alignment with domain priorities and roadmap milestones.
- Oversee shared infrastructure, tooling, and frameworks to support scalable, secure, and reusable development.
- Drive full software development lifecycle across multiple teams, promoting DevOps practices and continuous improvement.
- Manage cloud cost optimization and enhance automation, telemetry, and tooling to reduce operational friction.
- Mentor engineers and managers, guiding architectural decisions and fostering technical excellence.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define priorities, track milestones, and ensure timely delivery of complex initiatives.
- Champion system integration and maintain high availability, scalability, and incident preparedness.
What you'll bring:
- Proven leadership in platform engineering, overseeing software and AI/ML system development aligned with strategic roadmaps and milestones.
- Expertise in managing full software development lifecycle, including DevOps architecture, CI/CD, and cloud-native solutions.
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills to drive complex technical initiatives to timely, high-quality delivery.
- Experience in cloud financial management and cost optimization strategies.
- Ability to mentor and develop engineering teams, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Proficient in system design, debugging, and integration to ensure scalable, maintainable, and secure platforms.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and innovation mindset to enhance tools, processes, and products.

The annual salary range for this position is $121,000.00 - $242,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...
