Role summary:The (USA) Staff, Software Engineer plays a critical role in delivering scalable platform capabilities and driving the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will contribute to designing and delivering scalable digital solutions that address critical business challenges. By leveraging cloud-native architecture, software design patterns, and data-driven decision making, the team ensures robust, maintainable solutions that align with business goals and improve the overall associate experience.
What you'll do:
- Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, front end and back end frameworks aligned with roadmap priorities.
- Drive full software development lifecycle activities such as coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure scalable, resilient, and agile systems.
- Lead system design reviews to validate quality and alignment with architectural standards.
- Build AI-driven applications integrating ML components and automation features.
- Mentor engineers, fostering technical growth and promoting best practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to translate user needs into actionable technical requirements.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to define success metrics and optimize development processes.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation for scalable and resilient systems.
- Strong proficiency in software design patterns, API design, front end design and software prototyping to ensure maintainable and modular solutions.
- Experience leading full software development lifecycle activities, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and observability in both front end and back end
- Ability to mentor and guide engineers, fostering technical growth and promoting engineering excellence.
- Skilled in debugging, remedial action, and data-driven decision making to optimize development processes.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills to engage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00 - $264,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
