The (USA) Staff, Software Engineer plays a critical role in delivering scalable platform capabilities and driving the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will contribute to designing and delivering scalable digital solutions that address critical business challenges. The team emphasizes collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement to enhance tools and products that support managers and associates. By leveraging cloud-native architecture, software design patterns, and data-driven decision making, the team ensures robust, maintainable solutions that align with business goals and improve the overall associate experience.
What you'll do:

• Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, front end and back end frameworks aligned with roadmap priorities.
• Drive full software development lifecycle activities such as coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure scalable, resilient, and agile systems.
• Lead system design reviews to validate quality and alignment with architectural standards.
• Build AI-driven applications integrating ML components and automation features.
• Mentor engineers, fostering technical growth and promoting best practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate user needs into actionable technical requirements.
• Utilize data-driven approaches to define success metrics and optimize development processes.

What you'll bring:

• Proven expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation for scalable and resilient systems.
• Strong proficiency in software design patterns, API design, front end design and software prototyping to ensure maintainable and modular solutions.
• Experience leading full software development lifecycle activities, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and observability in both front end and back end
• Ability to mentor and guide engineers, fostering technical growth and promoting engineering excellence.
• Skilled in debugging, remedial action, and data-driven decision making to optimize development processes.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills to engage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00 - $264,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
