The Membership Experience Engineering team at Walmart builds the technology that powers seamless shopping journeys for hundreds of millions of customers. position** What You'll Do: • Lead the design and delivery of innovative end-to-end solutions for the Walmart+ Membership platform by partnering with cross-functional teams across product, design, and engineering. • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and translate them into scalable, high-quality solutions using Java, JavaScript, Node.js, and Python. Drive development from concept through implementation, including design documentation, requirement analysis, coding, and testing. • Ensure code quality and platform stability by conducting thorough code reviews, investigating application crashes, and providing hands-on support to engineering teams. • Drive execution across multiple initiatives by identifying customer and operational needs, tracking progress, and adjusting strategies to meet business goals. • Troubleshoot complex business and production issues across platforms by analyzing impact, RCA, and coordinating with support teams and participate in Oncall rotation • Design and implement observability solutions, including Splunk and Prometheus dashboards, to monitor platform health and backend service performance across Node.js, Java, and Python systems. • Champion engineering excellence and organizational values by mentoring team members, promoting best practices, and ensuring adherence to company policies, ethics, and standards. • Ensure business objectives are met by continuously evaluating programs and initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving improvements in efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. What You’ll Bring:
- 5+ years of full-stack software development experience with strong proficiency in Java, Node.js, JavaScript, and Python
- Proven experience building and scaling backend systems and distributed services for large-scale applications
- Strong expertise in API design and integration, including REST and GraphQL, with experience working with external data sources
- Solid foundation in unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization to ensure reliable, high-quality software
- Experience developing consumer-facing applications, preferably in eCommerce or retail environments
- Frontend experience translating wireframes into high-quality user interfaces, including animations and transitions
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, CI/CD practices, and exposure to DevOps or SRE principles
- Experience using AI-assisted developer tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) to improve productivity and code quality

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
