What you'll do...

Position: Senior Technology Operations

Job Location: 55 Madison Street, Suite 800, Denver, CO 80206

  • Duties: Financial Management: Requires knowledge of: Financial Management tools and processes; Budgeting and internal and external program Communication tools and processes to comprehend the financial plan for implementation of multiple projects. Monitor delivery schedules and cost expenditure for multiple projects within a program. Program Estimation: Requires knowledge of: Program Estimation tools and techniques; Risk Assessment and Mitigation tools and techniques. To assess and identify the resources required for successful completion of the project of small to medium complexity. Identify potential risks for successful completion of the project. Business Operations: Requires knowledge of: Organization KPIs; Assessment techniques. To cater to key stakeholders and their priorities. Participate in business tasks to get things done in own unit or area. Communicate key considerations for the business decision making process. Comment on the organizations business model and financial goals. Cite examples of types of information needed to make sound business decisions. Technology Landscape Awareness: Requires knowledge of: Understanding of technology strategy and its linkages to domain; Basic understanding of existing and upcoming systems, technologies and trends; Product technical information; Basic understanding of domain specific market standards; Basic understanding of methodologies and tools, processes, checkpoints. To get involved and provide support to technology/ domain stakeholders to solve complex issues (i.e. suggest what skills are needed, how does the technology impacts). Develop business cases for projects with a projected return on investment or cost savings. Demonstrate deep functional knowledge of the business unit/domain. Translate business unit/domain requirements into projects, activities, and tasks and aligns to overall technology strategy. Serve as an interpreter and conduct it to connect business unit/domain needs with tangible solutions and results. Participate in creating new processes and ways of working. Program Definition: Requires knowledge of: Program Management techniques, tools and frameworks; Benefits analysis; Program Planning tools and techniques. To define goals, deliverables and schedules for managing multiple medium-to-high complexity projects within a program, in line with the overall strategic objectives. Create accountability matrix for the projects. Decompose the program into multiple modules and assign responsibility assignments and milestones for each module. Comprehends the operational and financial factors that drive project success. Program Monitoring and Control: Requires knowledge of: Program Monitoring and Control tools and processes; Internal and External program Reporting and logging tools and processes to monitor and evaluate the progress of the projects against approved milestones and timelines. Lead cross functional and/or pillar coordination meetings to review schedule progress, health, issues/risks, and key dependencies of the projects. Take appropriate measures when required to bring program health on track in case of adversity. Influencing and Building Stakeholder Consensus: Requires knowledge of: Verbal/Non-Verbal behaviors; Application and allocation of Business Communication styles/techniques in ambiguous and challenging situations; Communication channels/mediums; Interpersonal skills and universal relationship building with ability to connect seemingly unconnected parties; Influencing styles. To communicate, articulately and concisely, in a one-to-one/ stakeholder meeting involving one-two teams. Proactively build personal network and seek and provide constructive feedback. Present data and logic to and influence team, customers and stakeholders. Articulate results/recommendations in a structured manner using relevant data. Actively listens to others and acknowledges different technical perspectives and connects to the product/technology in development.

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, management, engineering (any), or related area and 3 years of experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area; OR Master's degree or the equivalent in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, management, engineering (any), or related area and 1 year of experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.

Skills required: Experience with project management processes, strategies, and methods. Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban development methodologies. Experience with public cloud environments (AWS and Azure). Experience delivering large scale data pipelines and processing systems. Experience working on transformational projects, particularly those that seek to rewrite or replatform large scale systems for the purpose of modernization, increased reliability, and decreased cost. Experience with operational tooling and systems, monitoring, alerting, incident management, and ops viz. Experience with project management tools. Experience with JIRA and Confluence. Experience keeping tabs on a portfolio of infrastructure, operational, and feature work, driving execution, and reporting progress to management and stakeholders. Experience partnering with engineering, QA and operational teams throughout featured development from architecture, design, implementation, and validation. Experience articulating technical complexities to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable way. Experience with underlying technology involved in programs, including software development, systems engineering and relevant fields. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $97,677/year to $171,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
