What you'll do...
About Team:
As part of the B2B (Walmart Business) platform, you'll work with a high-performing team of engineers, architects, and data scientists solving complex analytical and machine learning problems that power business customers at scale.
Walmart Business enables seamless B2B experiences including bulk purchasing, pricing intelligence, catalog management, and fulfilment optimization. Our data science teams drive predictive analytics, personalization, and intelligent decision-making at scale.
What you'll do:
Design and build end-to-end ML pipelines processing TB-scale datasets
Develop and deploy machine learning models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn on Dataproc/Vertex AI
Build real-time and batch inference pipelines to serve model predictions at scale
Create feature engineering, model training, and experimentation workflows using Airflow and MLflow
Build and manage analytical models supporting B2B products including pricing, demand forecasting, and customer segmentation
Enable scalable model evaluation and insights delivery via BigQuery, Trino, and Hive
Ensure model quality, integrity, and observability through monitoring and drift detection
Optimize models for performance, accuracy, and cost efficiency
Own production ML systems including model serving infrastructure and experiment tracking platforms
Integrate and derive signals from data sources like Salesforce and Marketo to power customer intelligence
What you'll bring:
5+ years in data science or applied machine learning
Strong Python + SQL with hands-on experience in ML libraries (Scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, or PyTorch)
Experience with distributed model training using Spark or similar frameworks
Hands-on with cloud ML platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure – Vertex AI/BigQuery ML preferred)
Experience with feature stores, experiment tracking (MLflow/Concord), and model deployment
Solid understanding of statistical modelling, A/B experimentation, and ML system design
