Role summary:As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the delivery of scalable software solutions by managing feature implementation, testing, and ongoing support within collaborative teams. This role requires expertise in software development lifecycle, including coding, debugging, and continuous integration, while integrating AI/ML components to enhance platform capabilities. You will contribute to solution design, technical leadership, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure alignment with business objectives. About the team:
The Fintech Disputes & Exceptions Management Engineering group focuses on delivering precise and efficient solutions within Walmart’s Finance Tech ecosystem. The team designs and maintains tools that enable internal teams and external partners to resolve payment discrepancies swiftly, leveraging automation to reduce manual effort. Committed to continuous improvement, the group fosters collaboration and innovation to support operational efficiency and partnership success. By integrating advanced technologies and maintaining high standards, the team ensures seamless processes that align with Walmart’s broader goals of reliability and excellence in financial operations.
What you'll do:
As a Senior Software Engineer for Walmart, you’ll have the opportunity to: • Develop intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of the customer and the company. • In this role it would be important for you to professionally maintain all codes and create updates regularly to address the customer’s and company’s concerns. • You will show your skills in analyzing and testing programs/products before formal launch to ensure flawless performance. • You will also be required to seek ways to improve the software and its effectiveness. • Adhere to Company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
What you'll bring:
• B.E./B. Tech/MS/MCA in Computer Science or related technical field. • Minimum 4 years of Full Stack (React JS & Java) experience. • Excellent computer systems fundamentals, DS/Algorithms and problem-solving skills. • Hands-on experience in building web based Java EE services/applications and Kafka, Apache Camel, RESTful Web-Services, Spring, Hibernate, Splunk, Caching. • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Large scale distributed services experience, including scalability and fault tolerance. • Exposure to cloud infrastructure, such as Open Stack, Azure/GCP • Exposure to build, CI/CD & deployment pipelines and related technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins etc. • A continuous drive to explore, improve, enhance, automate and optimize systems and tools.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
