What you'll do...
Role summary:This role will strengthen Walmart’s SecOps and OneLab capabilities by delivering secure, resilient, & highly scalable platforms and infrastructure to support detection, response, forensics, and investigative services. The position centers on architecting and operating hardened platforms, building & managing operating system (Mac, Windows, Linux) & improving infrastructure lifecycles, enforcing secure configurations, and integrating infrastructure with security frameworks. Strong leadership attributes are needed for this role & requires the leader who operates effectively through influence. The ability to translate complex security & infrastructure risks into clear guidance, drive alignment across cross‑functional partners, and make sound, risk‑informed decisions under pressure are important.
About the team:
This specialized team manages and secures dedicated networks and platforms supporting Information Security Operations, development, and forensic labs across multiple sites. They ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of technical environments to enable threat detection, incident response, vulnerability analysis, and digital forensics. The team designs and maintains secure network segments and isolated environments, supporting sensitive investigations and advanced security research. Collaborating with leadership, security operations, development, and forensic specialists, they provide essential platforms and infrastructure that underpin effective and timely security operations, safeguarding the organization from cyber threats and supporting critical activities.
What you'll do:
- Design and develop secure, scalable infrastructure solutions aligned with security standards and business requirements.
- Analyze system performance and nonfunctional requirements to ensure reliability, efficiency, and security.
- Automate operational processes to enhance response times and reduce manual interventions.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement risk management frameworks to safeguard IT assets.
- Maintain and update documentation for deployments, processes, and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor infrastructure capacity and plan for future growth to meet evolving business needs.
- Collaborate on configuration management and change control to ensure system integrity and compliance.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in infrastructure design, including software architecture, distributed systems, and scalability principles.
- Strong knowledge of security standards, frameworks, and methodologies, with experience in system security planning and risk compliance reviews.
- Proficiency in automation tools, scripting languages, and process improvement to enhance operational efficiency.
- Experience conducting vulnerability assessments, scanning, and discovery to maintain infrastructure security.
- Solid understanding of configuration and change management processes within IT environments.
- Ability to analyze system performance for reliability, operability, efficiency, and security.
- Familiarity with business continuity, disaster recovery, and capacity management strategies.
- Skilled in Linux administration and infrastructure maintenance best practices.

The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00 - $264,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
