What you'll do...
Role summary:The Senior Systems and Infrastructure Engineer, Information Security, will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure and scalable infrastructure solutions. This role requires expertise in infrastructure security, automation, and disaster recovery to ensure robust system performance and resilience. The engineer will collaborate across teams to enhance application security and configuration management while leveraging programming skills to optimize processes. A strong focus on security engineering and Linux environments is essential to support the organization’s information security objectives and maintain operational excellence.
About the team:
The Walmart‑VIZIO DevSecOps team collaborates with Embedded Software, Platform, Cloud, and DevOps groups to secure millions of connected TV devices and cloud services. The DevSecOps team develops and enforces security standards across platforms and applications, focusing on scalable frameworks, secure development, and regulatory compliance. They automate security validations through CI/CD pipelines and guide engineering teams on secure coding and vulnerability management. Partnering with DevOps and incident response, the team designs resilient architectures and conducts threat modeling and security assessments to enhance protection across embedded, cloud, and distributed systems.
What you'll do:
- Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable infrastructure solutions to support organizational objectives.
- Develop and enforce configuration management and disaster recovery strategies to ensure system resilience.
- Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting languages such as Python to enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct security engineering activities, including application security testing and vulnerability assessments.
- Manage Linux-based systems and agentic systems to maintain optimal performance and security compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into infrastructure projects.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in infrastructure security and scalable system design to support enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with configuration management and disaster recovery planning to ensure system resilience.
- Proficiency in automation and security engineering practices to enhance operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
- Advanced skills in Python programming for developing and maintaining security tools and scripts.
- In-depth knowledge of application security and application security testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems and agentic systems management.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
