Our team works closely with our US eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer for a key position on Walmart's Amends. Amends serves as the platform that powers an experience for the customer to edit their orders after placement. This will serve a multi tenant need and will serve as a platform for multi regions In this role, you will develop highly scalable services to process millions of requests per day and solve complex software engineering problems by leveraging state-of-the-art technology.
What you'll do:
* Design & Develop software for our Amends Backend systems
* Design and implement pipelines to process real time delivery data against our
Walmart Global Tech Guidelines.
* Collaborate with cross team and cross functional stakeholders.
What you'll bring:
Our Ideal Candidate will have the following Qualifications:
* Over 10+ years of experience in designing and developing large-scale, distributed systems
* Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
* Strong background in building scalable applications using Micro-services architecture
* Hands-on experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Azure Cosmos, MySQL, Oracle, Cassandra, etc.)
* Expertise in internet-scale distributed technologies (e.g., ElasticSearch, Solr, MemCache, and similar tools)
* Experience working with distributed event streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, etc.)

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.Option 2: 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
