The Distinguished, Technical Program Manager leads complex, large-scale technology programs by defining goals, managing cross-functional dependencies, and driving end-to-end system solutions. About the team:
The Marketplace Tech team at Walmart delivers scalable, innovative solutions supporting a vast retail ecosystem. This multidisciplinary group of engineers, architects, and product leaders collaborates to build robust platforms for fulfillment, logistics, and seller experience. Their work spans global supply chain integration, marketplace growth, and customer-focused delivery and returns solutions. Leveraging advanced technology, data insights, and domain expertise, the team ensures Walmart Marketplace remains agile, reliable, and prepared to expand across new business models and markets, driving operational excellence and sustained growth.
What you'll do:
  • Define and manage goals, stage gates, and key deliverables for large-scale, multi-program initiatives with complex dependencies and resource constraints.
  • Lead end-to-end technical program planning, ensuring alignment of strategy, architecture, and delivery across cross-functional teams.
  • Drive continuous process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and accelerate timelines.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement, securing commitments and resolving conflicts to maintain program momentum.
  • Oversee risk management, issue resolution, and dynamic prioritization to keep programs on track.
  • Mentor team members on technical design, communication, and program management best practices.
  • Analyze data to inform decisions and optimize program outcomes.

What you'll bring:
  • Extensive experience in program and project management, including planning, risk mitigation, and resource alignment for large-scale, complex initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder engagement to secure commitments and drive consensus.
  • Strong technical expertise in system and software design, cloud infrastructure, and platform architecture with a focus on scalable, modular solutions.
  • Skilled in process improvement, automation, and implementing measurable workflows to enhance team efficiency and delivery velocity.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, leveraging data-driven insights to guide decisions and resolve ambiguities.
  • Effective communication skills to influence outcomes and present clear, concise narratives to audiences.

Bellevue, Washington US-11663: The annual salary range for this position is $156,000.00 - $312,000.00
Sunnyvale, California US-11789: The annual salary range for this position is $169,000.00 - $338,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
