Role summary:Join Walmart as a Staff Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable platform capabilities, including infrastructure, tooling, and AI/ML frameworks. What you'll do:
- Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with roadmap priorities.
- Drive full software development lifecycle activities such as coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure scalable, resilient, and agile systems.
- Lead system design reviews to validate quality and alignment with architectural standards.
- Build AI-driven applications integrating ML components and automation features.
- Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and track success metrics.
- Continuously improve processes, tools, and products through innovation and data-driven insights.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation to ensure scalable and resilient systems.
- Strong experience in software development lifecycle management, encompassing coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in API design, software prototyping, and application of software design patterns for secure, modular, and maintainable solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical design reviews and deliver high-quality platform capabilities aligned with strategic roadmaps.
- Skilled in mentoring engineers, fostering technical growth, and promoting engineering excellence through continuous improvement.
- Experience integrating AI/ML components and driving data-driven decision making to solve complex problems.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills to engage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09930: The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
