The team leads Applied Science initiatives for Last Mile Delivery at Walmart, focusing on optimizing routing, trip pricing, driver trip matching, delivery commitments, and capacity management. Utilizing advanced data strategies and machine learning techniques, they ensure platform trust and safety. Collaborating with stakeholders, the team develops innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Their expertise in predictive analytics, data strategy, and machine learning drives scalable, data-driven outcomes supporting Walmart’s commitment to reliable and efficient last mile delivery services.
What you'll do:
- Identify and source relevant data from multiple business domains, ensuring data quality and suitability for analysis.
- Develop and implement data strategies aligned with business objectives to unlock value from data assets.
- Design, build, and validate predictive models using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.
- Create clear and impactful data visualizations to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Deploy and monitor models in production, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Write, test, and maintain code to support analytics solutions and model development.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in predictive analytics, machine learning algorithms, and data science methodologies.
- Proficiency in Python programming and advanced data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Plotly, Tableau, or PowerBI.
- Strong knowledge of data strategy, including data quality standards, governance, and scalable data storage solutions.

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09158: The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
