Position Summary...

Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace. Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

About Team:

International Technology team enables our warehouses, stores and eCommerce operations across the world. The platforms that we build are used in most of the markets where Walmart has its presence (outside US). Omni Supply chain group of International Technology focuses on building Supply chain solutions for customers, operators and sellers.

Unified Fulfilment team under Omni Supply chain group is responsible for building next gen, state of art technology, cloud native systems for Warehouse management for entire Walmart International that is capable of distributing inventory and order fulfilment through intelligent transaction processing, optimized storage and selected strategies.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelors degree / Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field required.

  • Excellent team player with a passion for collaboration.

  • 10+ years of object-oriented software development experience - using Java, Spring Boot, GraphQL, Hibernate, Kubernetes, docker, Microservices, Azure(or any cloud), Kafka, MSSQL, and NoSQL(CosmosDB/MongoDB).

  • Expertise in event-driven programming, with recommended experience in Kafka.

  • Hands-on experience of working with tools like Mockito ; Jenkins.

  • Hands-on experience in writing Junit test cases, working with Maven/Ant/Gradle, and GIT.

  • Experience with tools like Splunk, OpenObserve, Prometheus, and Grafana

  • Exposure to AI tools like Copilot is recommended.

  • Basic knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs), generative AI, and agentic AI

  • Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

  • Experience in developing highly scalable and available products.

  • Extremely comfortable in Data Structures, Algorithms, and System Design concepts and applicability.

  • Experience in working with Agile methodologies.

  • Knowledge of Security concepts (e. g., authentication, authorization, confidentiality, etc. ) and protocols, and their usage in enterprise applications.

  • Open to learning new skills as per project needs.

  • Mentor junior developers and continuously improve software engineering practices.

  • You will be responsible for design, architecture, and end-to-end delivery of one or more systems/products while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • You will have to estimate effort, identify risks, help with prioritization and devising/meeting project schedules.

  • You will raise the bar on sustainable engineering by improving best practices, producing best in class of code, documentation, testing and monitoring.

  • You will build and maintain systems in a way that ensures compliance with certification, regulatory standards, and a technology-based information security program.

  • In this role you will ensure product architecture and implementations are highly scalable, extensible with superior performance

  • You will show your skills in analyzing and testing programs/products before formal launch to ensure flawless performance

  • You will cultivate and suggest ideas for the extension of current systems to new products and services.

  • You will ensure on-schedule delivery of a high quality product that meets business and technical requirements.

  • You will be Mentoring /coaching other engineers in the team to facilitate their development and to provide technical leadership to them.
