Who We Are: A cross-functional team within Last Mile Strategy & Science, responsible for linking insights to action and build AI agents to automate processes and proactively resolve challenges by embedding clear metrics, data-driven diagnostics, and robust performance reviews
What We Do: We design and maintain performance frameworks, drive analytical insights, and create tools and processes that make delivery operations more predictable, efficient, and customer focused.

What You’ll Do
Develop and manage advanced analytics models to optimize last-mile delivery strategies, balancing customer satisfaction with operational cost and asset efficiency.
Use statistical methods and ML models to isolate and quantify key performance drivers (e.g., driver search time, batching lag, routing inefficiencies).
Define, standardize, and maintain KPI and metric definitions within a central registry / MDM framework to ensure consistency across Operations, Finance, and Tech.
Partner with internal AI teams to design and deploy AI Agents for automated insight generation and early detection of performance gaps.
Collaborate across Walmart’s business functions to establish best practices, coordinate initiatives, and rally support for data-driven recommendations.
Work with cross-functional leaders to secure alignment, sponsorship, and change adoption for key performance initiatives.
Leverage all available data sources to drive actionable insights that improve delivery speed, reduce cost, and enhance customer and driver experience.
Communicate insights and recommendations clearly and persuasively via reports, presentations, and leadership reviews tailored to varied audiences.
Collaborate with Data Scientists and Engineers to productionize and scale analytical models, embedding them in decision processes.
Build scenario analyses and sensitivity models to inform policy and operational design.
What You’ll bring
5-9+ years of experience in performance management, advanced analytics in a complex, data-intensive environment (e.g., last-mile, supply-chain, logistics, or e-commerce).
Strong analytical acumen and technical expertise in advanced analytics and modelling.
Proficiency in SQL (BigQuery or similar) and programming in Python (or R).
Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker) to create actionable, leadership-ready insights.
Background in working with large datasets and distributed computing tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Hive) and in cloud-based environments (e.g., GCP, Azure).
Demonstrated ability to translate analytical findings into business recommendations and influence senior leaders.
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to executive stakeholders.
Proven ability to coach and guide teams, fostering a culture of disciplined performance improvement.
(Preferred) Background in logistics, supply-chain, or last-mile delivery optimization.
