What you'll do...
Role summary:Join Walmart as a Site Reliability Operations Engineer III and help ensure the availability, reliability, and resilience of Walmart’s global Omnichannel eCommerce platforms. You will provide 24x7 production operations support, proactively monitor and triage critical incidents, coordinate major incident response, and restore services to minimize customer impact. Working with engineering and infrastructure teams, you will leverage cloud technologies, observability platforms, automation, AI-assisted operations, and SRE best practices to improve service reliability, operational efficiency, and the stability of Walmart’s customer-facing digital ecosystem.
About the team:
Our team operates as Walmart’s Command & Control Center (CCC) for Omnichannel eCommerce, ensuring 24x7 availability, reliability, and performance of customer-facing digital platforms. We lead proactive monitoring, incident detection, triage, and Major Incident Management for critical services, minimizing disruptions and supporting a seamless shopping experience. The team advances enterprise observability, operational tooling, automation, and AI-assisted capabilities to enhance incident response and platform resilience. By collaborating with engineering teams, performing root cause analysis, and driving continuous improvements, we strengthen operational stability and improve the reliability of Walmart’s global eCommerce ecosystem.
What you'll do:
- Provide 24x7 production operations support for Walmart’s Omnichannel eCommerce platforms across Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, and cloud-native environments.
- Proactively monitor, detect, triage, and coordinate resolution of major production incidents using observability tools including Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Dynatrace, and New Relic.
- Troubleshoot Linux/Unix systems, networking, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and microservices to rapidly restore services.
- Maintain monitoring, alerting, automation, and operational tools using Python, Java, JavaScript, Shell scripting, and REST APIs.
- Drive automation, self-healing, root cause analysis, documentation, and continuous operational improvements using AI-assisted operations and SRE best practices.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience supporting large-scale Omnichannel eCommerce production environments with expertise in Major Incident Management, production operations, incident triage, escalation, and service restoration.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, networking, and microservices.
- Experience with observability tools including Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Dynatrace, New Relic, and OpenTelemetry.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, Shell scripting, SQL, REST APIs, and automation.
- Experience with SRE practices, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, self-healing, and AI-assisted operations (AIOps/LLMs).
- Strong analytical, collaboration, communication, and incident leadership skills.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
