What you'll do:

• Guide the team in architectural decisions and best practices for building scalable, AI-powered full-stack applications.
• Drive the end-to-end design, development, implementation, and documentation of intelligent systems, seamlessly integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and traditional machine learning models into robust production environments.
• Build, test, and deploy cutting-edge AI solutions and modern web applications at scale, directly impacting the daily workflows of Walmart associates worldwide.
• Interact with Walmart engineering, data science, and AI teams across geographies to leverage domain expertise, align on model deployment strategies, and contribute to the broader tech community.
• Engage closely with Product Management and Business stakeholders to drive the AI product agenda, set technical priorities, and deliver intuitive, high-impact products.
• Drive the success of implementations by applying deep technical skills in both front-end/back-end development and AI integration, designing enhanced processes and technical solutions in support of strategic initiatives.
• Work closely with Enterprise Architects and cross-functional teams to establish and follow architectural guidelines for the delivery of scalable AI solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery) standards.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to chart out the future technology and AI roadmap of our product suite, identifying opportunities where AI can solve complex business problems.
• Participate in hiring and mentor junior to senior engineers, building high-performing, agile teams equipped to handle complex full-stack and AI challenges.
• Translate complex business requirements into clear AI/ML and technical deliverables, interacting closely with business owners and technical teams within India and across the globe.

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, engineering, or related field, with minimum 10+ years of experience in software design, development and automated deployments.
• Hands on experience building Java-based backend systems and experience of working in cloud based solutions is a must. Should be proficient in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka and Spark.
• Have prior experience in delivering highly scalable large scale data processing Java applications.
• Strong in high and low level system design. Should be experienced in designing data intensive applications in open stack.
• A good understanding of CS Fundamentals, Microservices, Data Structures, Algorithms & Problem Solving
• Experience designing and implementing REST API web services using Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC Strong in writing modular and testable code and test cases (unit, functional and integration) using frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, and Mock MVC
• Should be experienced in CICD development environments/tools including, but not limited to, Git, Maven, Jenkins.
• Should be experienced in microservices architecture. Possesses good understanding of distributed concepts, common design principles, design patterns and cloud native development concepts.
• Hands-on experience in Spring boot, concurrency, garbage collection, RESTful services, data caching services and ORM tools.
• Must have experince in integrating foundational LLM models, LLMs and RAG framework using Spring AI and LangChain4j.

• Should have used embeeded Vector DBs(like pgvector/Milvus) and Redis based sematic caching into the database.
• Experince in working with reactive programming using Wekflux and similar streaming framework to design modern applications.

• Experience working with Relational Database and writing complex OLAP, OLTP and SQL queries.
• Provide multiple alternatives for development frameworks, libraries, and tools.
• Experience in working with NoSQL Databases like cosmos DB.
• Experience in working with Caching technology like Redis, Mem cache or other related Systems.
• Experience in event based systems like Kafka.
• Experience utilizing monitoring and alert tools like Prometheus, OpenObserve, and other related systems and excellent in debugging and troubleshooting issues.
• Experience utilizing enterprise tools like ServiceNow for ITIL Management for incident, change, problem and other related systems like JIRA, Confluence for Requirement and SCRUM related activities.
• Exposure to Containerization tools like Docker, Helm, Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of public cloud platforms like Azure, GCP etc. will be an added advantage.
• Experience in troubleshooting critical production issues at the plaform level.
• An understanding of Mainframe databases will be an added advantage.
• A good understanding of and experience integrating with AI/ML/Gen AI services and components
