Role summary:Join Walmart as a Senior Software Engineer to lead the delivery of scalable software solutions through collaborative engineering efforts. The Pharmacy Inventory team within Walmart Health & Wellness is dedicated to delivering advanced inventory management and compliance solutions for pharmacies. As part of Walmart’s Global Tech, the team develops secure, scalable, and automated systems using event-driven architecture. This group focuses on building next-generation technology that supports millions of customers and associates. Team members collaborate across functions to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software, driving continuous improvement and innovation. What you'll do:
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions and complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Partner with Product, Business, and Engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and measurable outcomes.
- Drive architecture, technical strategy, innovation, and adoption of modern engineering practices.
- Develop, test, deploy, and support applications using CI/CD, automation, cloud technologies, and AI-enabled tools.
- Ensure system reliability, performance, security, and maintainability through engineering best practices.
- Lead technical reviews, resolve complex production issues, and drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor engineers through coaching, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Influence stakeholders, foster collaboration, and deliver business value at enterprise scale.
What you'll bring:
- Strong experience in Java, cloud platforms, and DevOps.
- Expertise in building scalable, resilient distributed systems, APIs, event-driven architectures, Kubernetes, and data pipelines.
- Proven ability to deliver product and platform initiatives in cross-functional environments.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and code reviews.
- Experience leveraging AI/ML and GenAI tools to improve products and engineering productivity.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Technical leadership and mentoring experience with a passion for engineering excellence.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a continuous learning mindset.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
