Your New Role:
The Sr. Desktop Engineer, Mac is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and enterprise-ready Mac desktop environments. This role collaborates closely with Cybersecurity, Engineering, and Support teams to define architectural standards, optimize endpoint performance, and ensure compliance with corporate security baselines.
Your Role Accountabilities:
OPERATIONS/PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Lead or contribute to endpoint-related projects such as OS upgrades, security tool rollouts, and hardware refreshes. Define scope, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
- Work with internal teams (e.g., InfoSec, Network, Procurement) and external vendors (e.g., Apple , JAMF, hardware OEMs) to ensure successful project delivery
- Maintain project documentation including technical designs, implementation plans, and post-mortem reviews. Provide regular updates to
- Serve as an L3 escalation point for Apple endpoint issues
Architecture
- Define and implement Mac desktop architecture standards in collaboration with Cybersecurity and Infrastructure teams
- Develop, maintain, and deploy corporate Mac images and software packages for laptops and desktops.
- Architect future solutions for deploying configurations to new and existing Mac devices, including evaluation of new Mac builds
Qualifications & Experiences:
- Minimum 4-5 years in Mac endpoint engineering or systems administration.
- Expertise in JAMF, Microsoft Intune, and Entra
- Strong scripting skills for automation and troubleshooting
- Experience with Mac hardening, encryption, and Firewall policies
- Knowledge of Jamf Connect
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Superb relationship building skills
- Work collaboratively w/small teams
- Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently
Not Required but preferred experience:
- Knowledge of and passion for media, entertainment, and technology industries (including key players, growth trends and drivers, new media models, industry structure, etc.)
- Experience working in a national or global company
- Some visualization tool knowledge would be helpful (i.e. Tableau, Power BI)
- Comfortable in working in highly iterative and somewhat unstructured environment
